Masonic Lodges all have a number allocated to them as well as the relevant geographic information such as an address.
When in general conversation, a Mason who wanted to ask another person if they followed Freemasonry, would casually ask “how old is your grandmother?”.
If the recipient was a Mason they would answer with their lodge number.
#23 was Port Adelaide (now incorporated into Adelaide),
#207 is Edwardstown,
#226 is Tusmore.

Was this the style of bag described by Ina Harvey at the Strathmore Hotel reception desk after the attendant returned from upstairs?

And was this meant to be part of the message? Yes, it was!
